EU funds €47.5M for quantum internet prototype.
The European consortium Quantum Internet Alliance has received €47.5 million from the European Commission for the next phase of developing a quantum internet. Over 42 months, the team aims to integrate hardware and software solutions into a programmable network and connect two urban quantum networks via intercity fiber optics using quantum repeaters.
