LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — After a rainy Thursday kept golfers off courses across the Lincoln area, Crooked Creek Golf Club was packed Friday and booked through at least the end of the day.
General Manager and Director of Golf Operations Jared Keenan said the course doesn’t need any more rain for the next week and needs a few days to dry out.
Keenan, who has worked at Crooked Creek for more than a decade, said what sets the course apart is its continuous cart path all the way around.
“On days like today where the city of Lincoln courses aren’t allowing carts, we get a lot of traffic out here because we have a continuous cart path all the way around the golf course,” Keenan said.

Among the dozens booked Friday was Tyler Lauer, who was out with a group from PGA HOPE, an organization that supports local combat veterans.
“It is amazing out today. It’s a little wet, but we’ll take the wetness on the course with the nice bright sun out,” Lauer said.
With nice weather in the forecast for the next week or more, Keenan said the course is expected to stay busy even as the ground continues to dry out.
Crooked Creek has a number of events coming up, including a two-man scramble at the end of October. You can find a link to their events by clicking here.
