Fashion entrepreneur and content creator, Toheeb Opeyemi, has said he does not consider himself to have “arrived” despite building a fashion business from humble beginnings at the age of 27.

Opeyemi, the founder of OTP Label, said his entrepreneurial journey had taken him through different stages, starting from working as a tailor before venturing into retail and later expanding into wholesale.

Reflecting on his definition of success, Opeyemi said it went beyond accumulating wealth, stressing that he took pride in creating something from the limited resources available to him.

He said, “Success to me now is bigger than just having money. Of course, I want my business to continue growing, but success is also being able to look back and see that I created something from what I had.”

The entrepreneur, who lost both parents at different stages of his life, said there were several points in his journey when he could have settled for what he had achieved, but his desire for self-improvement kept him moving.

He advised his younger self to remain persistent despite challenges, mistakes and slow progress.

Opeyemi added that although he was proud of his achievements so far, he still considered himself a work in progress.

“Even at 27, I don’t feel like I have arrived yet. I’m proud of how far I have come, but I still have much bigger things I want to achieve,” he said.
