It sounds impossible, but Caitlin Clark just got booed by Iowa fans on Saturday.
The Indiana Fever superstar point guard was a guest on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday, and she set some fans off with one of her picks, as the former Iowa Hawkeyes star picked Iowa State Cyclones to beat the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Hawkeyes fans wouldn’t think twice about picking the Mountaineers, or even a rock for that matter, to beat their hated rivals, the Cyclones, but not Clark, who received boos for her decision.
The former WNBA Rookie of the Year Award winner, however, didn’t mind the boos much.
” You can boo me. I’ll make you happy at the end,” Clark told the fans.

Clark was simply being objective with that pick, and the Cyclones didn’t let her down, as Iowa State came away with a 45-42 victory over the Mountaineers.
Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes didn’t live up to Clark’s expectations. Clark made up for her Iowa State pick by unsurprisingly picking Iowa to upset the No. 5-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, who demolished her alma mater for a 31-14 win at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.
It wasn’t the biggest loss for Clark this week, though. Before showing up at College GameDay, Clark and the Fever’s season ended in a Game 3 loss to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs.
