FT: Manchester City 4-2 Arsenal
Manchester City boss Andree Jeglertz: “After many games [we have] said how we were down and then we turned it around and that says something about the group, both the quality of the players but also the mentality and this is another example of that.
“We conceded a little bit too easy goals, I think. But at the same time, every time we attack, we are coming to their penalty box and creating things, so our attacking play is still very fluent. We score in different ways and that’s what it’s about
“But at the same time, we play against a good team today, Arsenal are good on the ball but we keep them away from our goal quite often and we definitely created more bigger chances.”
On their squad depth: “You start with 11 players that you think are going to be able to get the good first 50/60 minutes and then we have the quality in the squad that we can make substitutions that are keeping the same level and even making the level even better because the players are tired.
“It has been like that for many games and it’s so important for this group that the ones coming in are coming in with energy that they want to be on the pitch, help the team, and have an impact.
“Just look at the substitutions. All of them are actually bringing things up and it becomes a game-changer.”
