Arkansas’ fall Drug Take Back Day scheduled for later this month

Arkansans have an opportunity to safely get rid of their unused, unwanted, or expired medications later this month.

Arkansas’ fall Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Law enforcement agencies will host collection drives across the state to give people the opportunity to safely and securely dispose of their medications and prescriptions, including opioids.

More than 342 tons of unwanted medications have been disposed of since the program first launched in the spring of 2010.
