We’ve investigated this plastic surgeon for months. Now his license is suspended in Michigan

  • October 7, 2026

What to know:

The state issued a summary suspension on Sept. 28, 2026, meaning Ayoub Sayeg cannot practice medicine in Michigan.

Michigan documents say the suspension was based on allegations in an administrative complaint that found Sayeg posed an “immediate threat to the public health, safety, or welfare.”

Sayeg runs Your New Looks plastic surgery center in West Bloomfield.

State allegations detail concerns involving procedures performed on patients identified as J.R. and D.B.

The complaint alleges Sayeg created two operative reports for an April 2024 procedure that contained inconsistencies and that one report did not mention fat grafting and injections.

The Investigators at Local 4 have learned that the state of Michigan has suspended the license of a plastic surgeon who we have been investigating for months.

Ayoub Sayeg is under state scrutiny in Michigan, and his license was put under a “summary suspension” on Sept. 28, 2026, more than three months after a complaint was opened against him.

His license is suspended and he cannot practice medicine in the state of Michigan. “The Order of Summary Suspension is based on the conduct alleged in the Complaint which finds that you pose an immediate threat to the public health, safety, or welfare,” state documents say.

Sayeg runs the “Your New Looks” plastic surgery center in West Bloomfield.

This is not the first time Sayeg has faced scrutiny. His physician and surgeon license was suspended in Illinois on July 7, 2026, due to “inadequate collaboration with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, constituting an immediate danger to the public.”

Sayeg’s license has also been suspended in Virginia, which was based on the July order from Illinois.

The Local 4 Investigators reached out to Sayeg’s attorney for comment, but have yet to hear back.

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs shared the Administrative Complaint with the Investigators at Local 4.

Michigan Administrative Complaint: Patient J.R.

The complaint details a April 30, 2024, face and neck lift and states that Sayeg made two separate operative reports for the procedure.

“One of the reports failed to include any reference to the fat grafting and injection component of the surgery entirely. The operative reports contained inconsistencies, including regarding the drains and sutures utilized,” the complaint states.

The patient returned on Aug. 21, 2024, and Sayeg documented that the patient was unhappy with the results of the neck lift, according to the complaint. There was another surgery on Nov. 4, 2024. On Jan. 6, 2025, the patient received an upper eyelid revision under local anesthesia and two syringes of Bellafill filler were administered, the complaint says.

The patient eventually found treatment from another provider and on March 25, 2025, received a facelift and blepharoplasty, the complaint says.

Michigan Administrative Complaint: Patient D.B.

According to the complaint, on May 7, 2024, Sayeg performed a breast augmentation procedure on D.B.

“Following the procedure, patient D.B. reported that the patient’s breasts appeared asymmetrical in both size and shape,” the complaint states.

Sayeg performed a bilateral capsulotomy and removed the implants on Oct. 15, 2024, then reimplanted the same implants, the complaint says. He did not reduce the size of the implants, according to the complaint.

“Additionally, Respondent documented procedures involving the patient’s eyes, yet the patient’s medical record contains no evidence of informed consent for any treatment related to the patient’s eyes nor any documentation indicating that any eye-related procedures were planned,” the complaint reads.

Investigation continues

This is a story the Investigators at Local 4 have been working on for months. Investigator Erika Erickson spoke to a woman named Jolene who says she received a breast reduction in the mid-2000s from Sayeg — a surgery that she said caused her pain and humiliation. She filed a civil lawsuit against Sayeg.

A different family received a $56 million verdict on behalf of a 39-year-old mother of four who bled to death following a “negligent” surgical procedure, according to Clifford Law.

The firm alleges that Sayeg “negligently treated Idalia Corcoles, who had come to his clinic in November 2019 for liposuction and what is commonly known as a ‘tummy tuck.’”

“Dr. Sayeg testified he never saw the patient post-op despite Corcoles bleeding internally for hours, which resulted in her suffering a cardiac arrest and ultimately dying,” the firm said.

We’ll have the full results of our investigation for you at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, on Local 4 News.
