Message for U.S. citizens – Are you interested in dropping off your voting ballot at US Embassy Port of Spain?
If you plan to drop your ballot off at the embassy to be returned to your local election office, please ensure your ballot is addressed to your local election officials and is either placed in a postage-paid envelope or bears sufficient domestic U.S. postage before delivering to the U.S. Embassy via the methods below. Note you must present your U.S. passport to enter:
Drop it off free of charge in the clear locked box at the U.S. Embassy’s main entrance at 15 Queen’s Park West (Savannah entrance) during business hours (between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm M-F except local and US holidays).
Note that Friday 9th October 2026 is the last day to drop off your ballot at U.S. Embassy Port of Spain! If you are unable to drop off your ballot, you are welcome to submit your ballot directly to your respective electoral office by:
International mail – If using Trinidad and Tobago’s postal system, be sure to include sufficient international postage, and allow enough time for delivery. Ballots sent via regular international mail at this point are unlikely to reach local election officials by state ballot receipt deadlines. You can also return your FPCA or ballot to your local election officials via professional courier service at your own expense.
Questions about accessing your Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) or unsure about your electoral office address?
Our American Citizens Services team will be available to assist in person on Thursday 8th October 2026 between the hours of 9:00-3:00 pm from our entrance on Marli Street. No appointment required.
You must present your U.S. passport.
Note: Kindly secure wallets, bags and electronic devices elsewhere prior to entry to ensure a smooth security check-in.
