Why Bobby picked the Cowboys: Defensive issues continue to plague Dallas, but the Buccaneers don’t have enough firepower to keep up with Dak Prescott and Co. regardless. Tampa Bay is the only team this season that has amassed fewer than 200 net passing yards and 150 net rushing yards in every game heading into Week 5, per NFL Research. Just take a look at CeeDee Lamb versus the entire Bucs’ WR corps: Lamb, who collected 17 receptions for 189 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys’ 34-30 win over the Texans, now has 37 receptions, 498 receiving yards, 28 receiving first downs and four TD catches. Chris Godwin, Emeka Egbuka, Ted Hurst, Tez Johnson and Kameron Johnson have combined for 44 receptions, 501 receiving yards, 22 receiving first downs and two TD catches. Sure, Tampa Bay could presumably home in on limiting Lamb, but that still leaves threats like George Pickens, Jake Ferguson and Javonte Williams to deal with. Home-field advantage and history is also on Dallas’ side as Jalon Daniels prepares for his second career start. Only one undrafted rookie QB in NFL history has ever started and recorded a win over the Cowboys — Washington’s Ed Rubbert, during the 1987 strike. That Washington squad of replacement players provided inspiration for The Replacements, which won Best Picture at the 2001 Oscars. (Just kidding, that was Gladiator.) Unfortunately, Shane Falco isn’t walking through the door for Tampa Bay.
