TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Conversations continue in discussing the economic future of the City of Topeka.
The Greater Topeka Partnership and Washburn School of Business hosted their annual 2026 economic conference.
The event brought in leaders to discuss current economic trends from the state up to the national level. Event organizers tell 13 NEWS that this conference helps local businesses understand how the markets can impact their sales.
“Businesses are a little bit concerned about both the national and the local economy before their individual businesses, sales, capital expenditures, profits, it can be pretty positive in terms of how the outlook looks over the next six months,” Paul Byrne, Economics Professor at Washburn University, said.
Go Topeka’s Economic Outlook Conference has been around for six years, bringing our local leaders together to gain insights on overcoming any economic challenges that may impact them.
