BYU is staying put while Utah continues to climb.

The Cougars remained at No. 8 in Sunday’s latest AP top 25 poll following a 24-10 win over Iowa State, and the Utes moved up one spot to No. 11 after defeating Kansas by a 41-24 score.

BYU still stands as the highest-ranked Big 12 team, with Texas Tech (No. 10), Oklahoma State (No. 18) and Houston (No. 20) also representing the conference in the poll. Arizona appeared in the receiving votes section as well.

Notre Dame, BYU’s opponent this week, has moved up to No. 2 in the rankings. Following Texas’ loss to Oklahoma, Georgia is the new No. 1 team in the country.

The Cougars and Irish will battle Saturday in Provo for the first-ever top-10 matchup in the history of LaVell Edwards Stadium. Utah will travel to Boulder this weekend for a matchup with Deion Sanders’ Colorado squad.
