A spectacular “space jellyfish” cloud was visible across parts of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday morning following a SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The launch, propelled out by a Falcon 9 rocket, was carrying the Cargo Dragon spacecraft. The spacecraft, which has had three previous journeys to orbit, is transporting more than three tons of science equipment and supplies to the International Space Station and is expected to arrive Thursday after a 52-hour journey.
