PROVIDENCE – Living Tree Medical recently celebrated the grand opening of its new urgent care facility in Providence, expanding access to immediate medical care and primary care services for residents in the area.
The grand opening and open house for their urgent facility in Providence took place on Wednesday, October 7.
The location of the facility is 1201 S. Main Street, Suite 110 in Logan, across the street from Macey’s on the corner.
The practice has an office in North Logan and a family medicine practice also in Providence. The new urgent care facility is staffed by physician assistants Aaron Wyatt and Matt Morrell and includes examination rooms for adults and children, an X-ray room and an on-site medical testing laboratory.
In addition to providing urgent care services, Living Tree Medical is working with local businesses to offer health care subscription plans designed to help employees and their families manage medical expenses.
“We can offer businesses a monthly fee subscription that allow unlimited visits to the urgent care facility,” Wyatt said. “Families can come as many times as they want, and they would have discounts for services.”
The Family Tree Urgent Care Subscription plans provide employees and their families with unlimited access to urgent care for a monthly fee. Plans start at $50 per month for individuals and about $100 per month for a family of five, according to the information provided by the practice.
The subscription program is intended to offer an alternative for businesses whose employees lack health insurance or have high-deductible insurance plans. Under the program, covered visits are included regardless of how often a patient visits the facility.
Living Tree Medical works with employers to establish agreements outlining the services and discounts available to employees and their families, depending on the plan selected. The grand opening also gave area businesses an opportunity to learn more about the programs.
Dr. Kevin R. Duke, a family medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience, also practices at the Providence office. He is affiliated with several area hospitals and provides primary care for children and adults.
Duke treats common health conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and allergies. Family medicine physicians also help patients manage chronic conditions and can recommend additional testing or refer patients to specialists when needed.
With urgent care services, diagnostic equipment and family medicine available at its Providence location, Living Tree Medical aims to provide area residents with another option for addressing immediate medical needs and maintaining their ongoing health.
