The healthcare provider says it will introduce new plans to replace them.
PORTLAND, Maine —
Martin’s Point is discontinuing certain Medicare Advantage plans in Maine for plan year 2027.
Two viewers reached out to Maine’s Total Coverage saying they had received letters from Martin’s Point notifying them that their Medicare plan would not be offered in 2027. Both letters state their plans will expire on Dec. 31, 2026, and that they will have to switch to a different plan.

In a statement to Maine’s Total Coverage, Martin’s Point said it is changing its Medicare Advantage plan offerings.
“Each year, Medicare Advantage organizations evaluate their plan offerings and submit plans to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for approval. As part of this annual process, organizations may discontinue certain plans and introduce new plans,” according to a Martin’s Point spokesperson.
The healthcare provider said it is discontinuing certain plans and introducing new plans in their place. It also clarified it will continue to offer plans in every county in Maine. Martin’s Point said all current members have been notified of the changes and that it will work directly with those affected.
