A man and woman are dead after a quintuple shooting on Edmondson Avenue in Baltimore, police said.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 10:25 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue.

A WBAL-TV 11 News crew at the scene has learned the victims were in the parking lot of a BP gas station.

The police commissioner said officers found a 34-year-old woman and three men, ages 20, 24 and 48, shot at the scene. Officers rendered aid to the victims, who were taken to hospitals. During that time, another man arrived at a hospital on his own with gunshot wounds.

Worley said the 20-year-old man and the woman have since died and that the other three victims are believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The commissioner said officers are looking for multiple shooters, and he said it’s believed that a high-powered weapon was used in the shooting.

“It looks like at least two, maybe three shooters,” Worley said. “Unfortunately, there are a lot of high-powered weapons out there. We recover them every single day. This weekend, I believe, officers made about eight handgun arrests, and in one arrest, there were three automatic rifles and two handguns recovered. So, there are a lot of weapons that can cause mass casualties out there.”

Investigators are looking for video in the area. Anyone with information and/or video is asked to call 911 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP.

No further information was immediately released.
