1 rescued, 1 missing in Blackridge Reservoir in Herriman

HERRIMAN — Emergency crews were still searching for a man missing in Blackridge Reservoir in Herriman Saturday evening.

Authorities on scene said initially, a man was struggling in the water, and another man went in to help him. The man who went to help was later rescued by emergency crews, and the other had still not been found.

Sgt. Shaver with the Herriman Police Department said the man who went in to help had already been taken to a hospital.

Details on what led up to the incident were not immediately clear.

Editors note: Authorities initially stated that two men had been pulled out of the water. Emergency crews on scene later clarified that one had been pulled out, and the other was still missing.
