Fox led all Week 7 college football games with 10.4 million viewers for Ohio State-Indiana. That’s also the fourth-best game of the season across all networks. Week 7 actually put three games into the 15 most-watched games of the season to date, including Notre Dame-BYU and Alabama-Tennessee. Here are those top 15 games heading into Week 8:
“College GameDay” drew just over 3 million viewers for the full show from Provo in Week 7, marking the third-best episode in the show’s history, behind only the 2025 shows around Lee Corso’s retirement and the Ohio State-Michigan game. Six of the 10 best regular-season shows have come this season to date. The final hour of the show got 3.9 million viewers, which was well above the 2.3 million that Fox had for “Big Noon Kickoff” in the same window leading into Ohio State-Indiana.
Dream-Valkyries on Monday night was the best WNBA Finals Game 2 audience ever on cable TV, with an average of 1.33 million viewers watching across USA, CNBC and E! That’s up 9% from 1.22 million for Aces-Mercury on ABC on a Sunday afternoon last year, but down slightly from 1.35 million for Liberty-Lynx Game 2 in 2024 on ABC (also a Sunday afternoon).
The NFL remains up slightly through Week 6, averaging 18.5 million viewers for nationally televised games. That’s also the best figure for the league through Week 6 since 2015 and third-best on record (dating back to 1988). Prime Video, CBS and ESPN each remain on record pace for their respective packages, while Fox has its second-best average since 2019. Week 6 games drew 17 million viewers, the best for any Week 6 since 2015.
