The 21-year-old influencer and businesswoman said aspiring creators must stay true to themselves and protect their mental health in their quest to chase social media success.
The creative entrepreneur, agri-preneur and influencer uses her platform to motivate Mzansi through words of affirmation while promoting her businesses.
She said social media has opened doors for her, helping her connect with customers and building meaningful relationships with followers.
“The majority of the clients I’ve had in my whole existence are people whom I’ve met through the platform,” she said.
Mimi said it humbled her when people recognised her content and told her how much her motivational messages meant to them.
For her, the experience has been nothing short of a blessing.
“So, it’s been a blessing, let me put it like that, it’s been a blessing,” she said.
But while content creation can open doors, Mimi warned young people not to rush into making it a full-time career before they’re emotionally ready.
She said the online space can be tough, especially for people who are still struggling with self-confidence.
“I’d say do it when you’re ready, do it when you’re secure about yourself,” she said.
Mimi explained that social media can expose creators to people who use online platforms to attack others and make them feel small.
She encouraged young people to build confidence before putting themselves out there and to avoid measuring their success against other people’s achievements.
“When you do it, don’t compare yourself with anyone. Make sure you’re authentic because that’s what we love,” she said.

Mimi shared her advice while attending a content creation gathering, where she hoped to find inspiration and learn from fellow creators.
She believes while social media offers opportunities to grow any business, reach new audiences and inspire others, creators must remember that their well-being matters too.
Her message to those hoping to make their mark online is simple: take your time, believe in yourself and never lose your identity trying to impress others.
In the fast-moving world of likes, views, and followers, Mimi believes authenticity helps creators stand out.
