HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) – A sports agent who represents several of NASCAR’s biggest stars was arrested in Mecklenburg County on Thursday, court records revealed.
An affidavit alleged 52-year-old Rod Moskowitz was driving his 2023 Toyota Sequioa in an “aggressive and reckless manner” along Cramur Drive in Huntersville, just after noon on Oct. 22.
The affidavit said a Huntersville police officer saw Moskowitz driving, and saw him drive into a ditch and momentarily get stuck. Moskowitz then reportedly backed out of the ditch and pulled into a home’s driveway.
The document said several people — including multiple officers — then tried to get Moskowitz to stop. One officer allegedly waved his hands at Moskowitz and had to step out of the way three times to avoid being hit.
Officers were eventually able to get Moskowitz out of the vehicle and arrested him.
He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a government employee, and was taken to the Mecklenburg County jail.

Records showed Moskowitz’s bond was set at $1,000 during a court appearance on Friday, Oct. 23.
Moskowitz is listed as the CEO of PROSPORT Management, as well as the head of its racing division. The company represents pro athletes across a variety of sports leagues, including NASCAR, NFL, PGA Tour, LIV Golf and more.
Among the PROSPORT’s NASCAR clients are Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Bubba Wallace and others.
