Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR) – Buffalo Bills safety and special teams ace Sam Franklin Jr.’s one-game suspension for spitting towards an opponent has been rescinded. Instead, his discipline has been reduced to a fine of $14,926.
Franklin Jr., a core special teams player and captain, had been suspended one game by the league for spitting towards Raiders offensive tackle D.J. Glaze after an extra point attempt during the Bills’ 33-30 win this past Sunday. He vehemently denied the allegation, and appealed the suspension.
