Chicago Blackhawks

Bowen Byram practiced with the Blackhawks on Saturday for the first time since sustaining an upper-body injury last week, but the defenseman wore a noncontact jersey and will not play against the Florida Panthers on Sunday (3 p.m. ET; CHSN, SCRIPPS, SN, TVAS). Byram has been out since Oct. 13, when he logged 24:37 of ice time in a 5-3 win against the Penguins. He has one assist in six games. “It’s good to see him on the ice and take part in a decent amount of practice, see how he does. I can’t really give any further timeline,” coach Jeff Blashill said. … Andrew Mangiapane (lower body) practiced and is expected to play Sunday. The forward has been out since Sept. 30 when he was injured in Chicago’s season opener, a 5-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
