Ireland’s Seamus Power will enter the final round’s action at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in a share for the lead after carding another under-par round on Saturday.
Power is tied at the top with Austin Smotherman, with the pair sitting on 16 under par, two clear of the chasing pack.
Following a sensational Friday at the Port Royal Golf Club, when he fired a seven-under 64, Power made an ideal start.
The Waterford man birdied the par-four first hole and the par-three third to get to 14 under.
Momentum stalled from there. He picked up six consecutive pars to make the turn in 34 strokes, two under for his day.
Another birdied followed at the 10th before a rare blemish, a first bogey in 33 holes, coming at the 13th following a wayward iron shot. But Power recovered well, and birdied the 14th and 17th holes to get into the clubhouse at 16 under par.
Power will tee off on Sunday alongside American Smotherman.
The 32-year-old, who won the Bank of Utah Championship at the start of October, carded a third-round five-under 66 to get into the final pairing.
Canadian Corey Connors is part of the chasing pack at 14 under. He’s joined by Taylor Moore and Ben Silverman, while there is a five-way tie for sixth spot.
