FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MORE THAN A WEEK…
Bakersfield made it BACK to the 90s! Thursday topped out at 98. The last time we were in the 90s was Wednesday of LAST WEEK. Heat Wave #3 is done.
COOLEST FOR THE WEEKEND
This latest cooldown is just getting started. Over the next several days indications are that those temps all across our region will be lowering. It continues to look like Sunday will probably be the COOLEST of the next 10 days, where South Valley highs might not even rise above the low 90s. Contrast that with last weekend when Bakersfield soared to 105, this will be a much cooler situation.
NEXT WEEK COULD GET WARM AGAIN
After a weekend reprieve that heat high could have its sights set back on the West next week. As such, a gradual warming trend is likely, with those temperatures climbing bit by bit throughout the week. Those daily highs could be below average up until midweek. After that point things may start getting higher. It’s a good idea to enjoy this weekend’s cooldown because the following weekend might be a bit hotter, again.
