SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Saturday, generations of South Dakotans instrumental in the state’s music scene were inducted into the South Dakota Rock and Rollers Hall of Fame.
Many people celebrated the occasion as dozens of musicians, music groups, DJs, and more were inducted in Sioux Falls.
Judd Hoos, Randy McAllister, and Easy Street were some of the musicians that performed for the ceremony.
Judd Hoos is in there; they are playing last this evening. We just heard 12 and a half Charlies. They were a big 90’s staple at Pomp Room. We’ve got Randy McAllister from the west part of the state. Easy Street, which also played across the state in the 70s. Phil’s Pub in Sioux Falls is getting inducted as the venue. We have Angie Kessler and the late and dear Karla Brown as the DJs this year,” said Amy Ellsworth, with the Rock and Rollers Hall of Fame Board.
The proceeds raised Saturday and leading up to the ceremony will support music programs in schools all across South Dakota.
