The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced six roster moves ahead of the team’s Week 7 Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Note: teams are permitted to temporarily elevate up to two practice squad players per game. A player can be elevated up to three times in the regular season and an unlimited number of times in the postseason.

Let’s sort through this news on a player-by-player basis.

Dickerson is returning to the starting lineup for the first time since mightily struggling in Week 1. The Eagles are hoping that Dickerson’s time on injured reserve allowed him to get healthy. But there’s real reason to wonder if the three-time Pro Bowler might just not be nearly as good as he was in the past due to injuries taking a toll on him. Will be interesting to see how he fares on Monday night and moving forward.

The Eagles needed more tight end depth since Dallas Goedert (who is playing despite being on the injury report) and Johnny Mundt are the only players at their position on the roster. Can’t imagine fans are excited to see Calcaterra back, though. He can help on special teams but we all know his blocking is bad.

Stowers is set to make his NFL debut after the Eagles placed their rookie tight end on injured reserve ahead of Week 1. Stowers failed to impress during the offseason and it’s unclear how much he’s equipped to even help out on special teams, where he played just six snaps in five years of college football.

It’s not exactly like the Eagles are loaded with great tight end options, though, so maybe he’ll get some chances.

The Eagles needed more edge rusher depth with Jalyx Hunt and Jonathan Greenard questionable to suit up.

The Eagles were in need of more running back depth.

The Eagles maxed out Ertz’s three temporary practice squad elevations from Week 3 through Week 5. He was ineligible to play in Week 6 while remaining on the practice squad. The team did not put him on the roster for Week 7.
