TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A special exhibit showcases how art can be a helpful tool in expressing emotions.
Raven Milam, an expressive art therapist with Astra Mental Health and Recovery, and Barb Montgomery from Heritage Bank, visited Eye on NE Kansas to preview the annual Creations of Hope exhibit.
Astra, formerly part of Valeo, and Heritage have teamed up for several years on the event to celebrate using art as a force for healing and hope. The artwork all was created by people who are connected to mental health awareness in some way, whether as clients, family members, or advocates.
Creations of Hope will be on display 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday Nov. 9 to 20 in the Heritage Bank Lobby, 3024 SW Wanamaker Rd. All items on display will be available for sale.
