Jumia Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting small businesses by expanding their access to customers across the country through its e-commerce platform

The Chief Executive Officer of Jumia Nigeria, Temitayo Ojo, disclosed this during the unveiling of the company’s 2026 Black Friday campaign, themed “No Manage Am,” which runs from October 30 to November 30.

Ojo said the platform plays an important role in helping small businesses reach more customers, expand their market access and participate in Nigeria’s digital economy.

“One of the things we are particularly proud of is the number of small businesses that depend on Jumia to reach customers and trade with the rest of Nigeria,” he said.

He added that Jumia’s ecosystem contributes to the Nigerian economy by supporting small businesses, creating jobs and providing entrepreneurs with opportunities to reach consumers nationwide.

The month-long Black Friday campaign will feature discounts of up to 60 per cent across essential and lifestyle product categories, giving consumers opportunities to purchase goods at reduced prices.

According to the company, the campaign will feature five major promotional Fridays on October 30 and November 6, 13, 20 and 27, alongside daily brand deals, free-shipping offers and interactive promotions.

Participating brands include NIVEA, Xiaomi, Skyrun, Silver Crest, Oraimo, Samsung and Aeon.

The campaign will also feature a scavenger hunt with 200 hidden items, the Snatch It Challenge, live-streamed giveaways and 11 consecutive hours of promotions on November 11, when shoppers can discover free items across the platform.

Ojo said the campaign was designed to offer customers more than price reductions by combining affordability with a reliable shopping experience.

“With ‘No Manage Am’, we are making Black Friday about more than discounts: it is about helping customers get the products they want, at prices that work for them, through a reliable shopping experience,” he said.

To accommodate increased demand during the campaign, Jumia said it had upgraded its platform capacity to handle approximately three times the traffic recorded during the previous year’s Black Friday sales.

The company also strengthened its infrastructure, conducted platform stress tests and worked with vendors to prepare product selections and fulfilment operations.

Customer support has been expanded across the app, website, WhatsApp, live chat and telephone hotlines, with round-the-clock assistance. Additional measures include AI-powered chat support, a call-to-order service and improvements to its returns and refund process.

The campaign will conclude with a Cyber Monday promotion on November 30.

Jumia encouraged consumers to visit its website or download its app to explore participating brands, compare offers and prepare their shopping lists ahead of promotional periods.
