Defenseman Nikita Tyurin (140th, 2025) is already showing himself to be a player to watch out of the 2025 NHL draft. Tyurin made contributions to help MHC Spartak win the 2025 Spartacus Cup.

The Red Wings Prospects outlet notes he is showing improvement even since last spring’s playoffs. RWP’s observations: His skating looks a bit smoother and puck-moving and vision remain his strongest attributes.

Tyurin is a 6-foot defenseman is also showing more physical play, according to RWP.

This is what I’d like to see more of. Defensively Tyurin gaps well and often uses a good defensive stick to knock pucks away but I’d like to see more finishing through the body like this. pic.twitter.com/3A45zGUPsU
