POSEY CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Posey County deputies took Seth Lile, 31, of Evansville, into custody early Sunday morning.
They say it was after a welfare check at a home in southern Posey County and a search of the area.
Welfare check on South Caborn Road
Deputies were dispatched shortly after 2:30 a.m. to a home on S. Caborn Road. The caller said he was concerned about a woman who might be in a violent situation. He said the woman asked him to call police.
When deputies arrived, the woman told them she had a restraining order against Lile, and he had forced his way into her home. The victim said Lile was angry.
Deputies say he assaulted her and left her with serious injuries.
Search for the suspect
Black Township Fire and Rescue helped in searching the area with thermal imaging drones. A Vanderburgh County K-9 unit assisted on the ground, but they could not find Lile.
