The Seattle Kraken is renowned for having one of the best logos and color combinations not just in the NHL but in all of American professional sports.

In fact it was current star Brandon Montour who once famously credited the logo, half kidding of course, for a reason to come to the Kraken.

Now, the Kraken have a new look, the “hometown remix.”

These new sweaters feature the alternate Space Needle/Anchor or “Kraken Anchor” logo of the Kraken as the primary crest for the first time ever, and will be worn six times this season starting with Wednesday’s home game.

Each of those games will celebrate a local neighborhood with Seattle, the Eastside, North Sound, South Sound, and Eastern Washington, all featured on those dates when these jerseys are worn.

It was part of a two-year development and will feature a line of apparel for fans to wear in addition to the jerseys themselves.

The Kraken already have their traditional home navy uniform and road whites with the “midnight” jersey that was unveiled last year.

This will be the fourth in their rotation and gives the Kraken the full complement of NHL sweaters to wear throughout the season.
