Sally Field, 78, Is Gray Hair Goals on the Red Carpet originally appeared on Parade.

Sally Field is 78 and better than ever.

The legendary film and television actress, known for roles ranging from Mrs. Doubtfire and Forrest Gump to Norma Rae and Absence of Malice, rocked the red carpet in a shimmering blue dress on Saturday when she attended the Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony at the JW Marriott LA. But our favorite part of the iconic star’s look was her hair, which we’ve officially designated as “gray hair goals.”

Field is another actress in a long line of stunners, such as Lorraine Bracco and Hilarie Burton, who have chosen to show their gray hair with pride. We’re here for it!

As for what’s next for the star, earlier this summer, it was announced that Field signed on to star in the film adaptation of Remarkably Bright Creatures, based on Shelby Van Pelt’s 2022 novel of the same name, US Magazine reported. But no matter what project she chooses to tackle next, it’s clear Field is well aware that she’s a legend in her own right.

“I have had so many moments that were important,” she told Variety in 2022 about her career. “I mean, it’s obvious that the films I had the opportunity to do were complicated, interesting work with good and strong directors.”

Field is also the mom of three sons: Peter, Eli, and Sam.
