NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series teams have familiar Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setups for this weekend’s night races at Daytona International Speedway.

Cup Series teams will run the same left and right side superspeedway tires as at Daytona and Talladega earlier this season. The right side tire debuted at Daytona in February, offering an updated construction, and was also chosen for the June race at Michigan International Speedway. The left side tire has been used at Daytona since 2022.

For the Xfinity Series, this combination of Eagle tires has been used at Daytona since 2022. Xfinity Series teams use inner liners on tracks 1-mile and longer.

“Teams are familiar with the Goodyear Racing Eagle tires we will bring to Daytona, which helps them set their strategies for the race,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear operations manager for global race tires. “Typically, teams mix in some fuel only and two-tire stops at Daytona, which will add extra elements to the strategy as the race unfolds under the lights.”
