Emmerdale fans have figured out how John Sugden will learn of an unsavoury detail that could lead to more destruction from the Dales latest villain.
Actor Oliver Farnworth joined the Yorkshire-based soap last year as John Sugden, seven years after he made his Coronation Street debut.
Since his arrival in the Dales, viewers have watched John go to desperate lengths to be labelled a “hero” all while hiding some of his darkest secrets.
He’s responsible for Chas Dingle overdosing, Jacob Gallagher having an anaphylactic shock, and Nate Robinson’s murder. However, the village seems to be on his side.
With husband Aaron Dingle supporting him, John had a wobble when Robert Sugden returned to the village after being in prison for six years.
While fans of former couple “Robron” have been waiting for the pair to rekindle their flame, Aaron and Robert finally gave into temptation.

As Robert hit rock bottom after John Sugden continued to taunt him by telling his half-brother that he’s hated by both Aaron and Victoria, Robert tore apart his own bedroom out of despair.
Aaron heard the commotion from outside and rushed to be by his ex-husband’s side. He then told Robert that he’s been pushing him away out of fear of him getting too close.
After spending the night together, John is none the wiser that his husband was with Robert, but how long will their secret stay hidden?

Some viewers noted that John’s recording device is still in Robert and Victoria’s home – thus, potentially picking up audio from the one-night affair.
