Texas Capitol evacuated due to active shooter threat

AUSTIN, Texas — News reports on Tuesday evening indicated that portions of the Capitol were evacuated due to reports of an active shooter threat.

Everyone was evacuated except for the Texas Democrats, who are confined in the House Chamber.

Several DPS armed guards are reportedly stationed outside the chamber doors.
