Montana Tech has promoted Tyler Miller to associate head coach of the men’s basketball program, recognizing his impact since joining the Orediggers in 2020. As the program’s lead assistant, Miller has played a pivotal role in guiding Tech to 96 wins over four seasons, while helping capture three Frontier Conference regular-season and tournament championships. His efforts were instrumental in the program’s historic run to the NAIA quarterfinals in 2023, marking the first such appearance in school history.
Miller’s coaching experience extends beyond Montana Tech, with a successful six-year stint at NCAA Division I Central Arkansas prior to his arrival in Butte. At UCA, he was part of the staff that led the Bears to their first winning season in over a decade in 2018 and developed numerous standout players, including Southland Conference Player of the Year and the program’s all-time leading scorer Jordan Howard
