BOULDER, Colo. (WOWT) – Officials in Colorado have confirmed that the body found last week in Rocky Mountain National Park was that of a missing Omaha man.

Family of 23-year-old Blake Kieckhafer had reported him missing to park rangers, who determined he had last been seen by his ride-share driver on Aug. 7.

In an update posted to social media on Tuesday, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office said the body found last week was positively identified as Kieckhafer. His death was ruled as accidental, and that he succombed to multiple blunt force injuries.

“Based on the circumstances of the scene and death investigation, it is believed the decedent died on August 9, 2025, from an accidental fall,” the report states.
