Police investigate reported gunshots in Worcester neighborhood

Police are investigating an incident involving gunfire on the south side of Worcester, police confirmed. The incident on Strathmore Road was reported around 8:15 a.m.Strathmore Road is a relatively short, residential street located a few blocks east of Interstate 290 and west of Vernon Hill Park. The Worcester Police Department confirmed they were on the scene of a “shots fired call” in the area, but said the District Attorney’s Office would be responsible for providing additional information.
