Charlie Cummings gives his top DraftKings WNBA Pick6 plays and projections for the two-game WNBA slate on Tuesday August 26th.
WNBA action on Tuesday will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball.
This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.
Kelsey Mitchell More Than 21.5 Points Scored
We all knew Kelsey Mitchell could score. This is the year where we learned she can SCORE, score.
Caitlin Clark’s injuries should have sunk this season. They’re not a one-woman show, but it’s tough to replace a talent like that—unless you have someone like Mitchell. Since Clark went down (seemingly for the season) on July 15th, Kelsey is scoring 22.8 points per game. Her scoring explosion has been the only thing between the Fever and falling out of the playoff race.
The Seattle Storm are her next victim. They have some solid guard defense, but that seems not to matter these days. Mitchell scored 26 and 27 points in her last two games, both against the Minnesota Lynx, who have one of the league’s best defenses.
Azura Stevens Less Than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made
Stretch fives don’t come much better than Azura Stevens. The 29-year-old has matched a career-high 4.4 three-point attempts per game with another career-high 40.9 three-point percentage. At 6’6″, there aren’t many players who can contest her shots. It makes her a lethal pick-and-pop threat against slower, undersized bigs.
But it hasn’t been as rosy from three-point range in recent play. Stevens has made only four threes over her past four games, shooting 26.7%. That’s going to be a problem against a rangy and versatile Phoenix Mercury defense. They like to play without a traditional big, and will have Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas up in her face when she tries to shoot. That’s enough for me to believe in another down shooting night for Azura.
Dominique Malonga More Than 19.5 Points Scored
You want an absolutely wild multiplier for your Pick6 lineup? Look no further than Dominique Malonga.
The Seattle Storm have unlocked something by playing the 2nd overall pick more. The 19-year-old mostly received spot minutes in the beginning of the year, stuck behind Ezi Magbegor. But in the past month, she’s earned more trust and is starting to deliver. Her on-ball skills and touch around the rim make her a matchup nightmare for any defense.

On the 19th, Malonga put up 15 points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes. That was followed up by 22 and nine against the Wings, and it seems her rotation spot is cinched. In a close win against the Mystics, Malonga scored 17 points and gathered 10 rebounds in 28 minutes played. With Seattle’s season hanging in the balance, head coach Noelle Quinn has little choice but to trust her rookie.
Aliyah Boston is a formidable defensive big, but Quinn is sure to throw Malonga in plenty of situations where Boston is off the floor. And at the 3.7x multiplier, Malonga could be a serious moneymaker in any lineup.
