Alex Hunter breaks down his favorite WNBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s two-game slate.
On the menu for Tuesday night is a two-game WNBA slate. The Fever are hosting the Storm, and the Sparks are hosting the Mercury. Below, I have featured three of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for these contests on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Kelsey Mitchell O 21.5 Points (+100)
The Fever are very shorthanded right now, with Caitlin Clark (groin), Sophie Cunningham (knee) and Aari McDonald (foot) all sidelined. Clark and McDonald have both been out for extended periods, while Cunningham just went down for the season 10 minutes into Indiana’s third-to-last game. With these three essentially unavailable for the last three games, Mitchell has flourished, scoring 38, 27 and 26 points, despite facing the Lynx’s top-ranked defense in two of these tilts.
During this stretch, the guard has easily led the Fever in usage at 30.1%. Aerial Powers is ranked second at 24.3%. With Clark, Cunningham and McDonald off the floor this season, Mitchell has averaged 23.8 points per 30 minutes, which is a tentative projection for her tonight. Mitchell has logged at least 33 minutes in seven consecutive games and the huge playing time will continue Tuesday, with Indiana fighting to hold onto a playoff spot and the Storm only favored by 3.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. While Seattle ranks third in defensive rating this season, Mitchell’s huge role out-trumps any concerns about this matchup and she is a must-bet for over 21.5 points at this +100 price.
Dearica Hamby 25+ Points and Rebounds (-115)
The Sparks are 9-4 since the All-Star break and Hamby is one of the main reasons why. The three-time All-Star is averaging 19.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game since the layoff, while shooting an elite 62.4% from the field. During this timeframe, Hamby is handling a 24.3% usage rate, a 22% rebound percentage and she has posted at least 25 PR in nine of her 13 starts.
With a large 177-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook, tonight’s matchup between the Sparks and Mercury is expected to be a high-scoring affair and Hamby is a strong wager to reach 25 PR in this type of environment.
Azura Stevens U 1.5 Made Three Pointers (-115)
Stevens has struggled with her outside shot against the Mercury this season, making only 3-of-11 attempts from beyond the arc in this matchup. This is no surprise, as opponents are shooting just 32% on three pointers against Phoenix this season, which is the second-lowest percentage in the WNBA.
Stevens has failed to hit multiple three pointers in five of her last seven starts and she should fall short of 1.5 made three pointers again on Tuesday.
