Veteran point guard Russell Westbrook remains a free agent, but he’s committed to keeping up his game even while on vacation.
Westbrook posted a video on Instagram getting shots up in a solo workout while on a yacht:
Westbrook spent the 2024-25 season with the Denver Nuggets and became a free agent earlier this summer after declining his $3.5 million player option. He averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists across 75 games.
It was reported last month that the Sacramento Kings brass admired Westbrook, but a deal for him was unlikely after the team already signed veteran point guard Dennis Schröder to a three-year, $45 million deal.
Wherever he ends up, it’s clear that Westbrook is staying ready so he can make an impact with his next team.
