Lucas Paqueta has been linked with a move to Everton in the final few days of the transfer window.

Jack Grealish’s arrival at Everton has already significantly bolstered the level of creativity in the Toffees’ squad, though they are still looking to go one step further.

Paqueta has been linked with a move to Everton, with it claimed that West Ham would sanction his exit if a suitable offer is made.

The Hammers paid £51million to sign Paqueta from Lyon only a few years ago, and will likely demand a higher fee to seal his exit.

If Everton pursue that, he would certainly become a starter at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, though David Moyes would have a decision to make as to where to play him.

It’s a massively ambitious move, but if Everton can bring Paqueta to Merseyside, there is no doubt about the fact that he would walk into the starting 11.

Moyes would have options, but the most feasible one may see Tim Iroegbunam miss out.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could drop into a deeper role alongside Idrissa Gueye, allowing Paqueta to almost free roam in a more advanced position.

Having a creative trio of Grealish, Paqueta and Iliman Ndiaye would be a sight to behold, and yet it is a possibility.

Just five days remain in the transfer window, showcasing that if the Toffees are to make an ambitious move, they need to act fast.

Paqueta would instantly become Everton‘s record signing if a transfer were to materialise, and he wouldn’t come cheap from a wage perspective either.

Via Capology, the 27-year-old earns a reported £150,000 per week, which would make him the highest-paid player at Everton, alongside Grealish.

The Toffees are said to be covering 50 per cent of his £300,000 a week wages at Manchester City, and after he registered two assists in Everton’s win over Brighton, that is already starting to prove its worth.

Jordan Pickford is currently the second-highest earner at Everton, on a reported £125,000 per week contract.
