EXCLUSIVE: Julia Doyle (Astrid And Lilly Save The World) has been cast as a new series regular opposite Harold Perrineau for the upcoming fourth season of MGM+‘s hit sci-fi horror series From. Production is underway in Nova Scotia ahead of a 2026 premiere.

Created by John Griffin (Crater) and executive produced by Griffin, showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias, Fringe) and director Jack Bender (Lost, Game of Thrones), the series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. 

Doyle will play Sophia, a sheltered and vulnerable pastor’s daughter.

In addition to Perrineau, Doyle joins an ensemble cast which includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (Ballerina), Hannah Cheramy (Under Wraps), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity), Corteon Moore (Overcompensating), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Avery Konrad (Honor Society), Scott McCord (East of Middle West), Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run), Angela Moore (A Series of Unfortunate Events), A.J. Simmons (Reacher), Robert Joy (CSI: NY), and Samantha Brown (Y: The Last Man).

Alongside Pinkner, Griffin, and Bender, serving as executive producers are Perrineau, Josh Appelbaum, André Namec and Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio, Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca from AGBO, and Lindsay Dunn. Midnight Radio’s Adrienne Erickson serves as co-executive producer. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Toronto-based actress Doyle was a series regular on Astrid and Lilly Save The World, which aired for one season on Syfy. She also recently appeared on CBC’s Workin’ Moms and on Murdoch Mysteries. On the film side, she was recently seen in a supporting lead role in horror comedy Hell of a Summer for Neon, directed by Billy Bryk and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023.
