The Princeton men’s basketball team is returning to Trenton’s CURE Insurance Arena for a third consecutive season.

Once again the Tigers will take part in the Jersey Jam with this year’s game on Nov. 30 against St. Joseph’s.

This marks the third consecutive season Princeton and St. Joe’s have met on the hardwood. The teams have split the last two meetings, both at St. Joe’s Hagan Arena in Philadelphia, with the Tigers winning last season.

Princeton’s roster has undergone a transformation in the offseason. Gone are stars Xaivian Lee (transferred to Florida) and Caden Pierce (opting out of senior season to preserve eligibility) and in is a youthful and largely untested cast.

The Tigers have had success when making the short trip to the capital city the last two seasons, posting victories over Rutgers and Duquesne. Coach Mitch Henderson has set his team up with a challenging schedule that also includes a trip to Kansas, home dates against Bucknell and Vermont and an MTE in Orlando that begins with a contest against Bradley.

St. Joe’s has local flavor on a roster that now features Trenton native Deuce Jones. The sophomore guard transferred to Hawk Hill following a freshman season at Atlantic-10 rival La Salle where he was the league’s Rookie of the Year. Another guard, Derek Simpson, who starred at Lenape and played two seasons at Rutgers is a key contributor for Billy Lange’s squad.

Game time and TV network will be announced at a later date. Presales for the event will start Wednesday, Sept. 10 with public on-sale to follow Friday,Sept.12. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.com.
