With over 5,000 players in NBA history, at least one player was born on every day of the calendar year – including four leap day ballers. Our day-by-day breakdown of the players born on each day of the year continues.

Below are the most notable NBA players born on June 12.

Antawn Jamison (1976)

Jamison was one of the best players throughout his collegiate career at the University of North Carolina, parlaying that into becoming the fourth pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. While the Toronto Raptors selected him with that pick, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors on draft day for Vince Carter. He really found his form in his sophomore season, averaging 19.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He followed that up with a career year, averaging 24.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 2001. Jamison ended up playing his first five years in Golden State before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2003.

Jamison took down Sixth Man of the Year in his one season with the Mavs and then made his first of two All-Star appearances with the Washington Wizards the following year in 2004-05. He spent five and a half seasons in Washington, finishing 14th in MVP voting in 2008. He closed his career with three years in Cleveland and then two one-year stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, respectively before officially retiring in 2014. Jamison averaged 18.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.6 apg and 1.0 spg throughout his 16-year career.

Jrue Holiday (1990)

It all started for Holiday when he was the 17th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Much like Jamison, Jrue took over in his sophomore season. He averaged 14.0 points and 6.5 assists in that breakout campaign, making his first All-Star appearance just two years later in 2012-13. That was his final season in Philly, spending the next seven seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans. He finished All-Defense in two of those and received Defensive Player of the Year votes in 2017-18.

A trade in 2020 sent Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks, and he helped them win a title in 2021. Holiday made his final All-Star appearance in his final season with the Bucks in 2023, then joined the Celtics via trade that summer and played the next two years there. He also won a title with Boston in 2024 and has made six All-Defensive Teams throughout his 15-year career. We can’t overlook this guy’s leadership and maturity, winning five Sportsmanship and Teammate Awards. Holiday has been one of the best players over the last 15 years and is an even better person.
