Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Bride,” a new take on “The Bride of Frankenstein,” has been officially rated R for ‘strong/bloody violent content, sexual content/nudity and language’. The story is set in 1930s Chicago.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
Elijah Wood has confirmed that Radio Silence’s “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come,” the upcoming sequel to the 2019 horror-comedy, picks up “almost immediately after the first one ends”.

Wayward
Netflix has released the trailer for “Wayward,” a genre-bending limited series created by and starring Mae Martin, along with Toni Collette. The series premieres in Toronto next month, ahead of a release on Netflix on September 25th.
In the series, nothing is what it seems in Tall Pines. After an escape attempt from an academy for ‘troubled teens’, two students join forces with a newly local police officer, unearthing the town’s dark and deeply rooted secrets. Sarah Gadon, Sydney Topliffe, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Brandon Jay McLaren co-star.
The Secret Agent
Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho, who helmed 2016’s acclaimed “Aquarius” and 2019’s “Bacurau,” returns with his next feature “The Secret Agent” which has released a teaser trailer ahead of its November 26th limited release.
Wagner Moura stars in the film set in 1977 Brazil and he plays a tech expert on the run who arrives in Recife during Carnival week and hopes to reunite with his son. Maria Fernanda Cândido and Gabriel Leone.
