NETTLETON, Miss. (WTVA) — Nettleton police say they have made an arrest following a series of break-ins targeting local churches this week.

Justin McCain is reportedly now in custody accused of breaking-in and burglarizing; South Nettleton Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Nettleton Church of Christ and Cross Pointe Fellowship.

McCain reportedly used a crowbar to force entry into the churches, targeting their offices.

Police reported that about $300 was stolen from two of the churches.

South Nettleton Baptist Church Pastor Jeff Adams shared his response to the break-ins.

“I forgive them. If they got what they needed and they could use it for the right reasons and OK…the fact is I’ll be praying for them because somewhere down the line, they’re going to have to face God,” Adams said.
