LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The pedestrian hit by a vehicle Sunday morning near South 27th Street and Barnard Road has died.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, a 37-year-old pedestrian was running south on South 27th Street just before 6 a.m. when a southbound vehicle struck them from behind.
The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The pedestrian died in the following hours, according to Chief Michon Morrow.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No impairment of the driver was suspected, and no citations have been issued.
