Cats. They’re better guardians than you think! When a deer wandered into a grey Tabby’s yard, she was absolutely not having it! Cats may not look like it, but they can hold their own against even the scariest of predators. For example, a big deer:
Fern the cat is so good at guarding. I’m so happy her mom has somewhere to keep her safe!

Fern is still a kitten! She’s living in Ohio with her mom, who found her one day outside of her lecture hall. The Cat Distribution System did an excellent job here: Fern fits right in with her mom. She was just a scared little kitten on a college campus and now she’s living the dream!
She’s officially an indoor cat, but she does still yearn for the outside from time to time. She has a little window seat she looks out of ever day, and she loves it. She likes to watch the birds, the squirrels, and anyone who goes by… except for deer. She hates deer!
He’s lucky she can’t bark, or he’d be really getting an earful! Though she can’t bark, she does love to sing along when her mom plays the harmonica:

Cats Are Very Territorial

Cats are also known to “spray” on occasion, which can be a huge problem, especially in multi-cat households. It’s no wonder Fern was so concerned about this deer: he was all up in her yard!
