Kanagawa Elves will debut on September 30 within TV Kanagawa‘s (tvk’s) local midday news and variety program Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide. The live-action series’ narrator Fujita was the Thursday host of Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide from April 2016 to March 2020.
Oolongta Yoshida is directing and writing the scripts for the live-action series.
The fantasy comedy manga tells the story of elves whose forest home had been burned down, and are now living ordinary lives in Kanagawa.
Yoroida launched the manga on Comic Elmo in August 2020. Micro Magazine published the manga’s first compiled book volume in 2021, and the fifth volume on March 10.
The manga is also inspiring a television light anime in December.
