Rookie Luisa Geiselsöder will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, per the Wings.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Wings’ season is coming to an end in nine days, but it hasn’t stopped the injury bug from striking again.

Rookie center Luisa Geiselsöder will miss the rest of the 2025 season due to a shoulder injury, the Wings announced Tuesday. Geiselsöder has averaged 6.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in her freshman campaign in Dallas.

Dallas’ roster has been plagued by injuries this season. Monday night against the Lynx, only eight players suited up — the league minimum. Of those who did, two were the result of hardship contracts. In addition to Geiselsöder, Ty Harris, Aziaha James, Haley Jones, Arike Ogunbowale, JJ Quinerly and Li Yueru all sat out with ailments. Harris, Quinerly and Yeuru are all listed as out for the remainder of the season.

In response to Geiselsöder’s injury, the Wings have signed Ohio State alum Ajae Petty. Petty was waived before the WNBA season after signing a training camp contract with Minnesota. Thursday’s game against Golden State will likely be her rookie debut.

The Wings also announced Tuesday that they expect rookie guard Aziaha James to return to play Thursday after injuring her ankle last Wednesday against the Connecticut Sun.
